I've posted this on the Pets/Animals board but had no replies hence putting on here now in the hope I may get an answer...
Has anyone done any Acupressure for Animals courses?
If so where & who did you qualify with?
Many thanks in advance x

Hi

Are you wanting to study this as an owner or as a therapist? I think it is ok for an owner to use this on their own animal; but acupressure is probably one of those therapies that can only legally be administered by a vet to someone else's pet.

Thanks for your reply. Ideally I wanted to study it as a therapist but having seemingly exhausted Google with no joy I've pretty much given up on the idea now!

Have you looked at TTouch or Shiatsu massage, they both use similar pressure techniques. Accupressure is great for animals as the skin is unbroken and so there is no risk of infection. Usually though it is used along side another therapy.
