I'm collecting items to make a wand. I've been told that once I strip the bark I should put Linseed Oil over the wood, to protect it, and Partchouli Oil after swiping it through insense smoke. Does anyone know of any other ritual steps in making a wand? I'm also thinking of putting carvings in the shaft. I'm knew to this forum and open for ideas.
Thanks,
Treaty
RE: Process Of Making a Wand
Hello TreaturSoul
Welcome to HP
I am at this present time making a wand, haven't advanced much further than it appears you have
I used essential oils for mine and at the moment it is sitting on top of a load of crystals taking in their energies...this is going to be a labour of love for me, and something I most certainly am not rushing...
do whatever feels right...it is afterall your wand
If you have not already done so...why not pop along to the New Members forum and introduce yourself...your find a warm welcome

Thanks Storm!
It's actually quit funny for me, lately, becuase only recently, after years and years of searching for the inner me, have I blossomed into a child of mother nature. When I was little I had frogs, snakes, chipmucks, and rabbits. I use to use sticks to make "magick" but never knew that all these symptoms would actually lead to the real me. This wand is to guide me along my journey of life. I want it to represent my strength, love, and spirit, so the oils I use are very important, as is the insense.
