House Blessing Ritual

On another site a dear friend asked me how to do a house blessing, I use my own, there are many different ones but I'll share mine with you...............

You need a candle (I personally use white for purity), incense (one representing fire), a dish of water, and a dish of salt. Bless the items.

Then open all the doors and windows in the house.

Take the salt and walk around the house in a clockwise pattern, clockwise within each room. Throw a pinch of salt in each corner, through each doorway, and out each window. As you toss see it burning away negativity and repeat as you go: “By the power of Earth, I cleanse this house.”

Light the incense and repeat as above, making sure smoke drifts into corners and through each opening, visualizing it blowing away all negativity, saying as you go: “By the power of Air, I cleanse this house.”

Repeat with the candle, shining its light through into all corners and through the doors and windows, saying as you go: “By the power of Fire, I cleanse this house.”

Finish with the water, sprinkling some into each corner and through each opening, saying as you go: “By the power of Water, I cleanse this house.”

It is done.
