Hello everybody...

Just a question... what is the next wiccan/pagan celebration? I'm in the process of buying a house and will soon have all the space i need to burn candles and grow herbs... yay!
Also... is there a traditional thing to do at Halloween? It's my favorite time of year and has been for my whole life. I would like to have a party but don't know if there are any things i should or could incorporate into the day/night.

Many thanks for any help 🙂

RE: Celebrations

Halloween (or Samhain) is, as in many traditions, a festival where we remember our ancestors, (sometimes reffered to as the festival of the dead). The veil between worlds is at its thinest, an extra place is sometimes set at the family table for ancestors to join us. (Pretty similar to the Mexican festival). It is also the Celtic new year. There was a big feast held to use up perishable goods from the last of the harvest and the older less fit livestock would be killed and salted for the winter months.

That is right and just one point to remember here - this 'visitor' is never summoned (witches do not summon the dead) but invited...
