RE: beltaine

I ended up on a hill with a copse on it, eating cookies and discussing what we wanted to achieve this year 🙂 I also did loads of gardening in the lovely sun.

Merry Beltane to you to....

RE: beltaine

I did some gardening on Saturday but got halfway through the grass and my lawnmower ran out of petrol (typical) it is still sitting there half done as I don't like filling up the petrol canister so I have to wait for my partner to do it for me. Managed to get the flower beds sorted out though so that was good.

Bank holiday Monday was nice as we went to the Knebworth country show, I always enjoy that.

Happy Beltane to you all!
Our family was lucky enough to be part of a huge Mayday celebration which was organised by a couple from my sons school. I really don't know of anything else like it around here (East Sussex).
Families gathered under cherry blossom trees with picnics, the men went off into the woods to get the maypole while the women made beautiful head garlands, the green man was ushered in from the woods with singing and dancing and drumming, everyone danced around the maypole with lots of whooping and laughter, children were running and playing amongst the trees shaking off the blossom..........

Fantastic!
