Trumpet?

Does anyone know how to make a paper or cardboard trumpet for a spiritualist circle?

Hate to sound ignorant, but what's a paper trumpet for .....?????

LOL! Well, don't feel ignorant.... I didn't have a clue till yesterday either... But (get ready)... The trumpet is placed in the middle of the circle, and the energy is raised and then when the spirits come through, the trumpet actually rises and the voice comes out of it. Now, this is yet to be seen, so I will report back when it happens!!!

A thought, Dipti: this sounds disturbingly like a ouija board session. Really I don't think this sort of thing is for playing around with; be careful.

The circle has been going for years and the group is a recognised mediumship centre for development. My friend has been going for a while, and I trust her. They do a very good protection meditation at the beginning and at the end. Thank you for the warning. I will ask a few more questions before I actually commit myself to anything.

I have been asking myself what is drawing me to this, and I think the answer is that I would like to see if I can develop my abilities in this way.

I always "feel" protected personally, so I am confident that I am not putting myself at risk. The reason I am more and more inclined to carry on going is purely because my dad turned up in spirit yesterday and said I was doing the right thing!

Nothing like a Ouija board. This is called direct voice phenomena. The medium will be in deep trance. The Trumpet is usually made of Thin metal or alloy and ectoplasm enables the trumpet to be raised. Also the circle sits in darkness.

I have never heard of one being made out of paper or cardboard. But it is a cone. You learn about those at school, small one end and larger the other, over a given length. usually made out of aluminium of Tin.

I must admit, the thought of it freaked me out slightly, but when I went along to the other session, it was such a calm and lovely atmosphere. It was very friendly and seemed entirely "normal", so I guess you just had to be there. The energy was very positive, and the group are very positive. I know of circles where things can get slightly "dark", but this one was truly full of love and light. I am a very positive and loving person, and I know that this is the right thing for me to be exploring at this moment in time. I guess I'm feeling a little defensive because it's got such a "taboo" surrounding it. But, in my opinion, if done in the right way with intentions of love, light and welcoming the spirits who wish to make contact.... this is a real comfort for some people.... like it was for me, when my dad came through. There are issues that can be resolved and dealt with in other's grief with just a little assurance that the crossed over soul is watching over you.... Just my little opinion! I do understand that it could be done in a heeby jeeby way... and I naturally would not put myself in a position that I felt that was negative!

Like all things in life, if done with love at the core, then this can be all good!

There will be a physical medium actually working the trumpet. All you will be doing as circle members is raising the vibrations (so to speak) Whilst the circle leader will be bringing in a cloak of protection for you all, you would be advised to learn how to protect yourself as an individual sitter. I have taken all types of circles for many years without any problem. You are absolutely right when you say that you felt "truly full of love and light. I am a very positive and loving person, and I know that this is the right thing for me to be exploring at this moment in time".

Forget the phrase "heeby jeeby". Enjoy the experience and the many more experiences that you may come across during your time with the circle.
