A couple of weeks ago I had the occasion to visit the Chalice Well and spend some time in the grounds.
I had a very strong and deep experience at the well head. I sat beside the tree there and a strong current of energy zapped through me, like I was being aligned in a vortex. It almost knocked me off my feet! I went into a very deep meditation and had a profound experience, like the spring was communicating with me. I saw images of crosses, christian, templar and celtic. I also had a very profound feeling of love, nurturing soothing energy that has stayed with me since.
I was not aware of the significance of the well until afterwards and I have done some googling. I really have been deeply affected by this. I have not had such an intense experience at a sacred site before.
I have always felt an intimate connection with the earth and am sort of a non practising pagan, ie I observe the solstices etc. This has made me think that my calling is a bit deeper than I have been allowing.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar things there and whether there is any way I can get deeper into this.
I have found many goddess type workshops on the internet but really would like some personal recommendations as I am all too aware that these can despite being motivated from a loving place, be run by charlatans.
I didn't visit the white spring, tbh I was a little scared after the experience at the red spring that I wouldn't be able to hold the energies. And when I did make an attempt to go there, they had closed early! So it obviously wasn't the right time.
Since then I feel like something has been formed in me by that experience. There is an immanence about it that intrigues me.
I would like to get deeper in to the celtic mysteries and would like to hear others experiences of this.

PS a little robin redbreast followed me around on both days and we found a little baby water vole almost dead on a path that was revived with a few drops of water.
That evening I had what I imagine is a kundalini experience when I was lying in bed, a warmth moving up my spine like it was being heated by an electric blanket.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I don't have any pagan wisdom reading your post it seems you were ready to receive what you did and it zapped you unawares. Had you been expecting similar experience it would have eluded you. All expectation, hoping, wanting keeps it at bay...
It will be very helpful to frequently revisit that space that became available to you in meditation during your visit to the sacred place. Stop suddenly many a times during the day and dip into that experience. Don't worry too much to do what you can do to get deeper. That will keep you in doership . Grace happens when you are loose and natural.
Don't worry about charlatans either! When your intention is pure you will attract the right person. Even a charlatan will end up giving you something valuable for your progress. Trust the process. It is on. The process needs your support but it 'does you' rather than 'you doing' the process. You are getting done!
Thanks so much jnani. I love that bit about the the process "doing you". I love being "done"!!!! There has been so much growth since that experience. Its quite dumbfounding - like its accelerated me- who knows how fast one grows though it feels like i have done years worths in the past few weeks - really amazing - very very grateful and staying on the path
