One achieves separation within Islam as one has achieved separation within Christianity. It all boils down to different viewpoints and some wanting to bend the original rules to suit themselves e.g. Anglican Christianity forming from Henry Vlll's disire to procure a divorce, which was forbidden by the Catholic Church, and still remains so.

This is what happens when man either misinterprets sacred texts, or wants to do something radical away from the rules that everyone else is bounden by. Eventually these people's ideaologies gain a following and then mayhem breaks out because each group cannot, or will not, comply to the original treaching, or see each other's viewpoints.

Religion evolves like everything else, but man being man, can't tolerate anyone who disagrees with him on points of faith. One only has to look at the situation in Northern Ireland if one needs to see the problems that in-fighting within the same religion can cause.

We don't have to be separated.
Islam was one kind only in Prophet Mohammad and his Califs days.

Then it was separated by two Sinni and Shii.

I heard that a man very long time ago, he was jewish and want to separate Islam and Muslims beleives, so he is the one who created the Shii believes.

Before the real one was on the Sinni.

The submission or shahada has nothing to do with Ali. Ali is the forth Calif after Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him died.

The submission isL say that No God but Allah and that Mohammad is the Messanger of allah.

Mohammad is the last mesanger and prophet he is the seal of prophets.

Also, to be a Muslim one should believe in all prophets and massenger that they was sent by Allah to us.
