Hi everyone, just in case you are reading this today - Sunday 13th, Clare Balding will be interviewing a
Brahma Kumari at about 8.20 on BBC Radio 2. I know that at least a few of you here will be interested!

If you miss it, you can go to Listen again for a week. The Good Morning Sunday webpage is:

Love and peace,

Judy

PS Just listened to it and it's actually an interview with the son of a Brahma Kumari who has written a book about how his childhood world was turned upside down (but not in a bad way) when he was eight and his father had an epiphany (not quite the right word in this context!) Will Hodgkinson wrote a book "The House Is Full Of Yogis" about his experience.

It was a very sympathetic interview.

Hi Judy

Yes, about a book called "The House is Full of Yogis" by Neville Hodgkinson's son, I know Neville and he is a charming, lovely character. The book is here -

Here is a short video of Nevlle giving a short talk at the peace in the park festival last year

Thanks for posting that link Mike - makes me realise that he could have gone much deeper with the interview this morning. Reading about the book (sounds terrific) it struck me that it sounded a bit like the "Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, aged 13 1/2" and then I found this from one of the reviews of the book: "Adrian Mole meets the Buddha of Suburbia" :p

What he had to say was very interesting - thanks.

Love and peace,

Judy

Ha - dumbo here has just realised that the speaker was the father - OK, penny's just dropped. Yes, what a lovely person he comes across as - as all Brahma Kumaris I've met have been.

In the 90s my driving instructor was a Brahma Kumari. I'd had awful lessons with more traditional instructors and looking back he was the perfect choice. I was very nervous and started to hate driving but he taught me to calm down and I passed first time. Still do deep breathing on big roundabouts.

Thanks Jinx, they are very special, spiritually-minded, disciplined and dedicated people. I have huge respect for their way of life - I know I wouldn't be able to follow it. Glad you were helped like that.

Love and peace,

Judy
