Hi all,
An English poster on another MB sent me this link which I found most inspiring.
It vividly illustrates the principle of seva (service) which is at the core of Sanatana Dharma, Buddhism, Jainism and indeed Sikhism.
This is a centre for the rehabilitation and treatment of leprosy sufferers in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Here is the link:

I hope you find it as inspiring as I did.

RE: Sivananda Rehabilitation Home, India.
What a graceful and uplifting video. Thank you for sharing, Prashna. It's so helpful to show people in the West that poverty and suffering in India can be and are being changed by those close to it all. And to demonstrate that grinding misery is not the only note that plays in the lives of the sick and destitute in India. I know we have a couple of well-travelled "Baedeker-logues" on these boards, so I'm not thinking of people on HP. Just some I come across in other parts of my life. I'll be sharing the video.
I'm glad to have been able to donate to the cause - so simple and easy via Paypal! I'm going to add it to another of my favourite charities to support for their work with the poor in India, the Chinmaya Mission.
RE: Sivananda Rehabilitation Home, India.
It's certainly eye opening. My wife and I are hoping to visit India in the near future... thanks Prashna for this link.

Thank you Crystal Cub, for that link. I have not been able to give it the attention it deserves. But I shall and come back to you.
You are absolutely right, of course. You might be thinking of the most recent travelogues of V and Sunanda. I am ashamed to admit that even though I was born and brought up in India, they have probably seen more of it (in geographical extent) than I have.
And delighted, that they should have such interest. Thank you, V and Sunanda.
Thank you OakApple and Spinal Music for your responses.
And of course many others on HP, whose experiences I value too.
In factwhen I visit HP, I usually find the experience uplifting and most useful.
HP people are among the most human I have met, or should I have written humane?
Regards.
