From time to time we probably mention ashrams here on HP under 'Hinduism'.

A friend somehow tracked this one down nearer to home than those of us in the UK might expect. It's not the only such place in the UK, butI didn't know of it. (Goodness knows how my friend came across this as he's abroad, non-English, and travelling right now anyway!)

So I haven't been there to personally recommend it, but if ever anyone felt like the ashram experience nearer to home (not in India, etc ... ).

Feeling at home in an ashram will depend on whether the mix of people is right for you, and their activities. Their Hindu path seems quite eclectic, not too specific at this place. One can always visit for a few days, then maybe a little longer ...
