I would just like to say....
May you all rejoice in your innermost hearts this Christmas !. And from the angels on high as well as your own beloved friends in the spiritual worlds,I ask you to maintain the spirit of Christmas.
However simple and humble your gifts to each other may be, do not be too busy or too concerned with material affairs to remember these symbols of goodwill.
You may be tired both physically and spiritually;nevertheless you will find that a wonderful inflow of both power and loving kindness can come to you if you will throw yourself heart and soul into the spirit of Christmas when the season draws near.
Keep the spirit of Christmas with the angels in the highest heavens, and peace be with you all.
Peace shall be your inheritance.
God bless you.
White Eagle......
Thanks Oakapple,
That’s really beautiful and so true!
Hey I found an article called “The significance of Christmas” where Mary Baker Eddy mentions the spirit of Christmas too. Here is a little bit:
[COLOR="Navy"]…The basis of Christmas is the rock, Christ Jesus; its fruits are inspiration and spiritual understanding of joy and rejoicing,--not because of tradition, usage, or corporeal pleasures, but because of fundamental and demonstrable truth, because of the heaven within us. The basis of Christmas is love loving its enemies, returning good for evil, love that "suffereth long, and is kind." The true spirit of Christmas elevates medicine to Mind; it casts out evils, heals the sick, raises the dormant faculties, appeals to all conditions, and supplies every need of man…. (Miscellany 260)
Love and peace,

hi oakapple
that is truly beautiful, for the first time in a long while i have decided to go back to basics and make all my presents having informed the family what i intend to do, and for the first time in quite a while i am realy looking forward to giving and seeing their reactions. Christmas had become just a break from work before but now i am actually looking forward to a traditional christmas
thank you for those words, re-enforced how i was feeling about christmas 2008
As always, Oakapple, beautiful post. Thanks for sharing the real meaning of this time of year.
Love Rachel
