I came across this website:

What do you think?
I personally feel that my 'religion' is a blend of many different beliefs (paganism, wicca, native traditions,Goddess work etc) and welcome a term that aims to highlight a form of spirituality that is currently undefined, and encompasses a combination of beliefs and practices.

RE: 'Holism'-the new spirituality
hi BL,
i did have a quick shufty round the site... hmmmm nah, didnt do anything for me!
whats wrong with the term eclectic? i dont know if i like the idea of holistic spirituality... and being taught it? just seemed a bit odd to me... cant my finger on why... perhaps its the idea of unorganised religion/ spirituality, deciding to be organised? i didnt see if fees were involved to "learn"...
RE: 'Holism'-the new spirituality
This was advertised in the Cygnus Review recently.
It sums up my beliefs OK, but the site wasn't particularly accessable and didn't really do anything for me, either! Why are they wanting to get it registered as a religious faith in the census though?....I thought the whole point behind spirituality is that it doesn't need to be confined to a religion!
RE: 'Holism'-the new spirituality
You might like to think about why people need a label it is usually because they have a 'need to belong' which can be past life.
Love beyond measure

RE: 'Holism'-the new spirituality
Dear Friends,
I had real difficulty reading the pages on this site. While I understand and applaud what they are trying to do, there was a feeling of 'tamborine bashing' going on. They sound so desperate to get their message out that anyone listening would be brainwashed into 'believing'.
Sometimes I think that when a large number of people get together - as in every religion -the energy and thoughts of the 'cult' take on a personality of their own and it's usually not very nice i.e. judgemental.
Have a great day

RE: 'Holism'-the new spirituality
i echo the sentiments of others- while i really like the ideas espoused, i'm a little weary of various general groups trying to get "recognized".
there are *so* many groups with sites like this. there's nothing wrong with that, per se. and if you feel drawn to a movement, explore it!
but it seems folks can get so easily possesive about their given "banner" that, as Publisher suggested, things can get a little self-righteous.
interesting concepts, though. thank you for sharing, bearlily!
