What is happening?
It seems to me as though the gap between good & bad is getting greater.
With no common ground and average being met in the middle.
As though there is no merging but rather parting of the sea, metaphorically speaking.
I feel all around as though the truth is cracking open as though the time for exposure is upon us. Like the past is catching up with people and we are being asked to choose.
I feel as though there is a huge sense of urgency and I feel as though all things must be aired and no words left unspoken.
But I also feel as though victims of crime have to find the courage to stand and be heard.
Does anyone know what this all relates too?
Or whether anyone else can relate to this?

Hi Myarka,
Thanks for your kind words. I’ve always admired and respected your high ideals and dedication to justice and fairness for all.
So which is more democratic, voting for a party or an individual?
Oh crumbs, I don't understand your arguments above! Which is which?
From AskOxford.com
democracy
• noun (pl. democracies) 1 a form of government in which the people have a voice in the exercise of power, typically through elected representatives. 2 a state governed in such a way. 3 control of a group by the majority of its members.
— ORIGIN Greek demokratia, from demos ‘the people’ + -kratia ‘power, rule’.
Democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
Winston Churchill 1874-1965: speech, House of Commons, 11 November 1947
communism
• noun 1 a political and social system whereby all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs. (Sounds great in theory!)
ORIGIN French communisme, from commun ‘common’.
Just to show I’m fair-minded – here are two remarks by Lenin:
Liberty is precious---so precious that it must be rationed.
Lenin 1870-1924: Sidney and Beatrice Webb Soviet Communism (1936)Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.
Lenin 1870-1924: Report to 8th Congress, 1920
This is completely off-topic, but my father was a Socialist, a member of the Fabian Society and he helped change the course of history in Singapore by one far-sighted act (I won’t go into it here) As a police officer in the anti-Communist Special branch, he used to visit his prisoners (mainly idealistic university students) and gently reasoned with them, brought them books and turned their thought away from Communism to Socialism. Many of his former prisoners became ministers in the first Singapore government after independence, which as I’m sure you know, was hardly democratic as there was no opposition, but it was a sort of benign dictatorship and has worked very well.
I have to admit to not being interested in politics. What I’m interested in supporting all governments of the world through prayer as directed by Paul in I Tim 2:
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour"
and Mary Baker Eddy expected her students to: “pray …..that justice, mercy, and peace shall rule all nations.”
Love and peace,
Judy
Hi,
I won't get into a domocracy vs communism debate in this thread, but would love to in another forum if anyone is interested.
In the last 20 years the political map of the world has change beyond all recognition.
