I thought, where I live in Bournemouth is a lovely place.
But I have been following Christian Nock on his blog as he walks around the country. He is in Scotland, at the mo and he puts photos of where he is every day. Wow, can I just say to the people that live in Scotland what a lovely, beautiful place. How lucky you are.
I have always wanted to go to Scotland, but seeing the photos it just wants me to go even more.:)
Best wishes to you all in Scotland, from the opposite end of the country in sunny Bournemouth.

I was born in Southampton and grew up in Fareham - but have lived in Scotland on and off since I left home in 73. Being a military wife, I lived in some fantastic places, but always knew that once the travelling was over, we would burn all the packing crates one by one, in our log burner in our little Scottish cottage!! Both my daughters were born here. We love it and treasure our little space on this planet.
I'm sitting here now, with a coffee, having cleaned out two chicken runs and am now watching the visiting geese coming to land in the fields in front of the house - there are often tens of thousands of them - fantastic!
Hi Jabba
You were born just up the road from me then LOL. My dads family all came from Southampton and I still have aunties that still live there.
Thats sounds lovely, watching all those geese. Christian is walking around the coastline, he was walking from Shieldaig to Cuaig yesterday.
Saw a picture of Redpoint Beach, wow. Ullapool, Scourie wow. Sorry as you can see wow is the only way I can describe them. There seems to be so many nice places up there in Scotland.
I cant get enough of the pictures he is putting on of Scotland.I am actually hearing of places I have never heard of.
Hope you enjoyed your coffee, from now a very, very, rainy Bournemouth.

is where I live.
Another wow,I have just looked at it on Google Earth.:)
What a lovely place to live, silly question, but do you like living there?
Christian was in Applecross yesterday, thats a lovely name.
I must admit its like being back at school in a geography lesson. I am learning all about these new places I have never heard of.
Hi Sunrise,
Yes, it is a bit 'wow', I know. The person who has taken all the photographs is a professional photographer, so that is partly why it looks so good - but the beaches and seascapes can certainly be stunning. Living here can be a bit up and down - it's windy nearly all the time and the rain can be horizontal - you have to be quite resourceful at times. But when it's good, it's good! I've had a home here since 1984,lived away for a while and now I'm back and it feels good - so I must like it.
Best wishes, Alison
