If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself.
If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative within yourself.
Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.

Nice vision....not sure it is entirely possible though to "elimiate all that is dark and negative within yourself" - are even saints flawless? Something to strive for perhaps.

To eliminate the suffering in the world I suggest requires a combination of compassion and the ability to make substantial donations!

Why complicate life with these dichotomies - dark/light, negative/positive?

Dichotomyies or real facets of self? Of course there are shades of grey in the mix also. I can distinguish when I am being negative or positive.

To everyone (including yourself) - a good example. May as well try for it all the time.

Of course...but then I am mindful!

For most people, my guess is that it would be something they could try and attempt
at this time of year.

Everyone includes yourself...right?

In a world where duality prevails, many read "everyone" to be "everyone else" and themselves as separate. So clearly indicating that "yourself" is included is appropriate I think.

Yes. I put the 'yourself' in because we don't always think of setting an example to ourselves, and yet that is how change starts.
