RE: Waxing

sugar paste is made from sugar, water and citric acid. And that's all. Its completely natural.

There are recipes on the net which add lemon juice (for citric acid), but as I've posted before, I really don't like the idea of homemade paste. Its only use is for strip sugaring, and the outcome is more than a bit hit and miss. You need to be very acurate in the quantities of ingredients, the heat at which you boil the paste and how long you keep it at that temperature. And don't forget that this is boiling sugar!!!! Plenty of potential for the amateur enthusiast to cause a great deal of discomfort!!

RE: Waxing

Hi

If you're still stuck on this one, I'll dig out some books. Won't do me any harm to do some revision.

Pooooooooor Rosie! Think of the benefits! (Some compare it to childbirth - now some would question the benefits on that one - LOLOL).

Infact, I'd rather wax:D:D:D 'bit's than change dirty nappies any day ... ooops, trailing off subject now.

RE: Waxing

You shouldn't go waxing the week before or during your periods - the pain is worse.

But over time you get used the pain and the benefits are hair free for a while longer than shaving or any creams

RE: Waxing

you think you've got problems.............. warm waxed my daughter (as my first case study) on Monday and she burst into tears (only 13). I felt so guilty and had to stop. So much for my confidence. I feel terrible. I know I'm terrible at it. None of my friends wax, so don't know where on earth will find 5 masochists!!
