Has anybody attended any courses at Richdales Institute? If so, how was the experience?:032:

I did my ITEC holistic massage course with them and in my opinion they are the best people to start your training with.
Hi guys, sorry for bouncing this thread...
Just wondering if anyone else (more recently) studdied at the Richdales Institute and what was your experience like...
... and/or if you've been to City Lit too - which one would you recommend is better for the ITEC Holistic massage course?
Many thanks!
horible school
I don't recomend Richdales Institute. they don't teach very well and the school is in a terrible noise rented room in Hammesmith hospital.
Not good
I just finished ITEC Indian Head diploma there and unfornunately was not very impressed & would have to agree with the previous post.
I have attended 3 of Richdales courses, Holistic Massage, Indian Head and Aromatherapy. My experience was really good! I was impressed with the excellent teaching, the resources available and the friendly atmosphere. I learnt an enormous amount, and having discussed and compared other courses with other therapists, I think Richdales is very professional.
A great start to any prospective therapists career!
My experience is of dreadful customer service, at director level too. Ten months to reply to an e-mail despite numerous follow ups on my part. I can't recommend them for this reason.
The question was originally asked in 2007, so perhaps if people could indicate when their experience was it would help, as some organisations take on board negative feedback and act to improve things, so they 'could' be better since.

This is recent experience, they finally responded to my e-mail of 2015 in 2016!!

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the level of customer service.
Our aim is always to provide the highest level of service and support to our students and prospective students. Since we became aware of your situation, we have spent considerable time trying to help you as your circumstances have changed.
I recognise that we have not been able to offer you the outcome that you now desire. As you have already alluded to, if you had communicated about things earlier we may have been able to offer you other solutions along the lines of which you desire. Unfortunately, after a number of years of your Course finishing the options become more and more limited.
We have offered you a possible solution which we feel is fair to both parties and that offer is still open to you.
I have just completed the Holistic massage course there and have found them to be very professional, excellent teaching and lovely people. I think you would have trouble finding a better place to learn!
Ten months to respond to an e-mail is dreadful customer service. I would expect a more positive to genuine customer feedback, and that steps should be taken to ensure that other students are not overlooked or treated in such a poor way. The suggestion that my case was not dealt with in a timely fashion because a manager was on holiday is odd to say the least. Who gets a ten month holiday?! I can't recommend them.
Hi there, saw your request for info on Richdales. wasnt too impressed on some of the responses. Did you happen to find somewhere to study, or have you gone there? Just wondered as I am looking at reflexology.....

I paid and began to study but encountered problems and drew their attention to my difficulties. They delayed and took ten months to properly respond, basically suggesting I look to my friends and family to take my place but by this stage I was embarrassed to recommend them. If you haven't already paid I'd suggest you consider your options. Happy to provide more details to inform your decision.

Do not choose reading reviews.... we all know the quality and we all know that we all have own opinion.....
My best advice - ask to visit as a gusset a couple of trainings days and see if it is what you are looking for... 1 day is not enough but 2-3 is ok.
Will be it ok, will you like teachers, will you like methods of teaching, will you like materials, will you like atmosphere - these are all individual factors and you have to see it with your own eyes.... then create your opinion. If it will be good, then you know what is what

ll you have opportunity to talk to other students and there can be also people that did other courses with them....
I always do this way....
In my case: if school doesn’t let me to come and see then I know that it is probably not the best place for me....
