I was wondering was anyone ever told that they could only re-take ITEC A&P etc in 12 months? i have a friend who's been trying to pass his A&P (he's having a tough time) he left it for about 3 - 4 months in the summer before doing a re-take as he was getting stressed out only to be told know by his college that ITEC only allows you to do the re-sits in 12 months and thats it! He was never told this on the course all the way through or at any stage when he was doing the re-sits. Only now has the college told him. He quite upset and now has to do a new A&P course for a year and the college have told him that ITEC will give him the qualifications for the Holistic massage, business etc which he passed once he's done the A&P ITEC course again!
To me this isn't fair that the college never said anything to him and that on all the ITEC stuff he has he hasn't come across it either. Has anyone else had this problem?
Many thanks for listening to my rant!

RE: Re-take A&P in 12 months
Hi Reiki Monkey
My understanding of the situation is that you have to take any exam again within 12 months of taking the original set! Our local college where I took all my exams have organised for those who failed to come in for an hour just to re-take the A&P exam several times. Obviously you have to pay the exam fee but there has been no problems with any re-sits.
As a suggestion, why don't you contact ITEC themselves direct to check out what you have been told? Their details are:

It might be worth posting what you find out as I have come across others who have been told similar stories and it turned out not to be the case!! Good luck!
