Hi guys ive got some questions that need to be answered a.s.a.p as im taking the exam tmrw. We havent been taught these stuff 🙁
The skin can have an adverse effect to cool wax if:
a) hair is too thick
b)Wax strip is pulled upwards rather than backwards
Where does hair growth generally begin?
a) Epidermal cells
b) dermal cells
How should the hair grow back after hot wax?
a) blunt end
b) sharp end
c) split end
d) natural tapered end
When performing an underarm wax it is important to:
Protect skin tags or moles with a very thin film of wax
protect them with thicker layer of wax
protect them with a plaster
protect the with petroleum jelly
What can the reason be for the hair remaining after sugaring
hairs are too long
sugar removed too slowly
skin pulled taut
hairs are too fine
What type of hair removal can be performed with depilation machine?
tweezing
shaving
ive become a neird with these exams 😮
RE: PLZ answer as soon as possible
Hi hope these help
Q1 is B wax strip pulled up rather than back
Q2 is B dermal cells
Q3 is D natural tapered end
Q4 is either protect with a plaster or petroleum jelly. When I asked my tutor last year, she just told me to go around them, which wasn't a very useful answer!
Q5 I think is that hairs are too fine
Q6 Don't understandd the question re hair removal of depilation machine but presume it would be legs, arms, underarms and bikini
tweezing would be for a smaller area i.e. eyebrows or any remaining hairs after waxing. Shaving would be the same as the depilation machine.
All these answers should be in your coursework book so it would be worthwhile just checking to make sure.
Good luck
Lynne

Hi all! I'm new at this, so please be patient.
I was wondering if there way anyone out there who has done their City&Guilds facial exam?
My tutor has given out revision sheets which make no sense to me andmy classmates, so was wondering if anyone could help? You don't have to supply answers, just an idea of what the Q's might be? Here is a few examples of the bullet points we've been given:
1 Differences between massage movements
2 Effects of clay masks e.g fullers earth, calamine
3 Cleansers and toners for different skin types
4 Effects and use of steam
5 Suitable massage techniques for different skin conditions
The way they've been set out, they're so vague!
Many,many thanks.
P.s i.m so sorry i didn't discover this site months ago...:)

this is good revision for me so heressome answers to your questions!!! good luck x x x ;)x x
1 Differences between massage movements
effluerage : induces relaxion for the muscle fibres,
increases blood circulation, increases sebaceuos activities, aids desquation hence improves skin colour etc etc lol:eek:
vibrations : for wellbeing, gent stimulation of skin hence good for sensitive skin constions,, does not irritate superfical blood capillaries.
petrissage: improves muscle tone and blood circulation,, stimulations sluggish circulation, increasses sebaceous gland activity, hence excellent for brilliant for dry skin
[:@]
