Hi all, I'm Kerry and I'm from Castleford, working in Leeds.

I'm qualified in swedish body massage, indian head massage and am a Reiki Master. Currently studying for my VTCT Sports Massage and Anatomy and Physiology Diplomas.

Would be nice to have a meet up sometime to put some faces to log in names 😀

Please could you tell me where you are doing your Sports Massage course, as I am wanting to do the same course shortly.

Also, is the Swedish Massage a pre-requisit to the Sports?

I'm actually studying at Joseph Priestley College Rothwell. The course is run with Caroline Austin and I can very highly recommend it. You do have to have body massage as a prerequisite and it helps if you have your A&P diploma otherwise you have to do it along side which is a hell of a lot of work to try and fit in along with the case studies and 40+ hours practical you need to be doing for the course.

I'm from Stanley in Wakefield - also a member of the Wakefield branch of the FHT Vetiveria, have been lurking around healthypages for ages and finally took the plunge and joined up.. Its nice to "meet" fellow locals. A little bit about me - I signed up for a VTCT diploma course after i had to finish work due to back problems and since then I think its safe to say i've been bitten by the bug !! now I'm qualified in :- swedish massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, indian head massage, tibetan acupressure head massage, hopi ear candling, hot stone massage and most recently i did a course on enhancing fertility through reflexology and also decided to do basic first aid........
Did my Reiki 1 but never did anything else about it !!

Anyway enough about me - - hope to see you all around

Reiki Share Group

Hello all,

I thought I would update this posting saying as the old one has been here for a while.

We hold a very informal Reiki share group in Rastrick, nr Halifax usually on the first Monday of the month.

Nothing special, but we get a chance to discuss, learn and work on eachother and anyone who wishes to drop by.

I am based in the Outwood area of Wakefield and fairly new to the site.......... I have just completed my holistic therapy training at the whitwood campus.......... It's not really become a job but more of a hobby.......... There are so many interesting courses to choose from to add to the skills already gained............. Would love to hear of some reccomendations from other members.......:);):D

I am Kate, 33, living in Keighley but originally from Hunsworth/Mirfield/Hartshead Moor. Moved over here about 16 years ago to be with my other half 🙂

I passed my Reiki Level 2 last year and absolutely love it!! It's really for a hobby as I wanted to be able to heal myself and friends.

I am looking to do a course this year but money is tight so not sure when it will be. Hopefully to do with crystals, aromatherapy, flower essences - who knows?!?!
