Anyone planning to go to the Ilkley Complementary Medicine Festival on the last weekend of March?

My friend moved to Ilkley earleir this month and I've been invited to stay so thought it would be good to combine the two as she is planning on going to it anyway.

It's supposed to be quite a big affair which is there twice a year.

I somehow ended up on their mailing list so I get regular reminders of this event. From a business point of view, I think it's too far away to be of any value for me. However, as you say, it does look like quite a big affair and each year I think about going just for the experience of the event but am usually too busy as it falls in March which is normally one of my busiest months.

After a ridiculously busy December/January/February, March seems to be a bit of a let down this year so maybe I will have time to go after all. Might see you there?!

Ilkley is a lovely MBS event Treacle. When I lived nearer to it, I used to make a special effort to get there every year. Hopefully it will still have the same vibe. I am sure you will enjoy it if you go. Wish I could come with you , it's about 70 - 80 miles away for me now.

They have wonderful demo talks too, entry used to be about £3.00 each, you buy your ticket when you get there.

The readers could be a bit tricky though, as in getting a slot. I used to find, unless you got there at the start of the day, and put your name and time slot in their desk diaries,,,,you couldn't get a reading. Often, the other stall holders got there first :(, not sure if they have changed all that now though.

I am about 3 miles away :p

So what will everyone be looking out for when they get there?

Talks?
getting readings?
Buying stock?
buying pretty shiny things?

I'm about 75 miles away! I'll have to see how I feel nearer the time - also what commitments at this end!
