RE: Tyne and Wear
Here is a joke which only you lot will understand, I'm not putting it in the main forums
Love to all

A young blonde Newcastle girl, down on her luck, decided to end it all one
night by casting herself into the cold, dark waters off Newcastle quayside.
As she stood on the edge, pondering the infinite, a young sailor noticed
her as he strolled by.
"You're not thinking of jumping, are you pet?" he asked.
"Yes, I am." replied the sobbing girl.
Putting his arm around her, the kind sailor coaxed her back from the edge.
"Look, nothing's worth that. I'll tell you what, I'm sailing off for
America tomorrow. Why don't you stow away on board and start a new life
over there? I'll set you up in one of the lifeboats on the deck, bring you
food and water every night, and I'll look after you if you look after me -
if you know what I mean."
The girl, having no better prospects, agreed, and the sailor sneaked her on
board that very night.
For the next 3 weeks the sailor came to her lifeboat every night, bringing
food and water, and making love to her until dawn.
Then, during the fourth week, the captain was performing a routine
inspection of the ship and it's lifeboats...
He peeled back the cover to find the startled blonde, and demanded an
explanation.
The girl came clean, "I've stowed away to get to America. One of the
sailors is helping me out, he set me up in here and brings me food and
water every night ... and he's screwing me."
The puzzled captain stared at her for a moment before a grin cracked his
face and he replied...
"He certainly is pet, this is the South Shields Ferry!"
RE: Tyne and Wear
:D:D:D ROFL!!
I was thinking about doing a trip on the Ferry over the next couple of weeks as well!!!

RE: Tyne and Wear
Hiya Everyone
I know this is an old thread but thought i'd add to it anyway. I'm Tracy and I'm from Durham (well just along the road from there) I am aholistic therapist so i also practicereflexologywhich i love !
Half my family live down in South Wales, do you know Pembroke Dock? i spent many a 6 week holidays down there when i was growing up.
Would love to meet up with other therapist sometime. I'm the worlds worst driver but if i have plenty of notice i could do a few dummy runs to the place of meet. Durham is a lovely place to visit if theres anyone who hasnt been before , alternatively the metro is always a good choice , easy for people to get to and plenty of quiet bars , cafe's and resteraunts.
Am feeling really de-motivated at moment so a meet would really perk me up!
love and light

Right, another newbie here on this old thread. I'm from Sunderland just about 8 weeks away from qualifying as a reflexologist.... scary stuff! Hoping to go mobile or start a little business up locally, just enough so I can still spend loads of time with my little one (3) before he goes off to school... anyone got any advice then I'm all ears.
Lots of love to all !!
xx
Hi TT,
Congrats on nearly qualifing !! I bet your thumbs are aching from all the case studies !!:)
North East members are far and few between on HP. But it's a great and helpful site .... lots of clever folk with masses of information to share ... so welcome !!
I work part-time too as I have a 4 year old boy ..... it's great to have the freedom to pick and choose what i do and still have time for my son !! Where are you training ?? .... i know a couple of ladies doing the VCTC at Peterlee.

Hello everyone,
I'm new here but I too live in Tyne and Wear, so thought I'd say hello 🙂
TL x
Hi girls! Just want to say 'Hello' to all you Geordie girls. I originate from Gateshead but out in Oz now. Nice to see you all getting together! Say 'hello' to Geordie' land for me.:)
How lovely Joan in Oz eh! How long have you been out there? Our early morning TV often have ex pats in Oz showing us how fab the weather is when we are sitting here in England freezing to death. Although we are having a heatwave at the moment its lasted two days now and it got up to 23 degrees today wow!!! lol
Hi Serendipity!
So many different things here, not only weather but way of life. Very casual but good.
We are up the north east coast of Queensland as you are up the north east coast of England.
Vast difference is the weather though,it is hotter here up north than down south. A bit too hot for my liking!
Humidity is bad, can't go for a nice country walk in the sunshine without a sun shade!
sounds lovely silverhoodedowl you seem very settled, would you ever come back or is that a silly question?????
Hi Serendipity,
I am flying back for a while in October to see whether I prefer the UK or Oz. I also have family ties here so it's a big decision to make.
On the other hand, maybe it's old age,Oz just doesn't have the same appeal it had when I lived here way back in the 1960's!:)
