Just walking down from my house to the shops this sunny afternoon, a young man was walking up the hill towards me, smoking a cigarette. I was humming a song to myself and aware of him but thinking of other things. He was rather handsome, and I think of mixed race... and I may have been staring, but I really was only half paying attention. We were crossing each other, me going down the hill, he up, when he said with a scornful voice, 'that's enough of this little girl sh*t - suck d*ck' and went on past.

I was pretty surprised and - obviously - angry. I called after him 'Wow, what did I do?'. He carried on walking but looked back over his shoulder long enough to say again, 'suck d*ck'.

Rather naturally, I'm quite upset by this - just wanted to get it off my chest really. How many people just are angry, I guess! How easy it is to offend someone without even realising what you're doing! I'm a counsellor and try to be skilled at not taking on other people's bad energy, but you know... it's pretty hard sometimes.

Do people with Turretts syndrome do things like that out of the blue?

Poor you! I do feel sorry for you, I would have also been quite upset. Just remember that you did nothing to provoke this incident and you do not deserve to feel bad about it. He may well have been unwell or just very rude and unhappy, however you did not deserve such an assault verbally. keep smiling and try not to let this get you down, sending you great big Reiki hugs, JaneX:)

Thanks Fleur and Totally Jane - it's helpful to think there was something wrong with him, not me. Funnily enough I didn't even think about Tourettes syndrome until you wrote it. It's true that many sufferers don't like being looked at so maybe it was that.

Did you notice if he had earphones in, he could have been "rapping" along to a track and you thought he was being nasty to you ?? Sounds like it to me 🙂

I was also thinking that his sudden outburst of foul sexual expressions is something that Tourette Syndrome sufferers do, ad hoc (from what I've seen on TV documentaries anyway), and his words seem to be typical of that condition...

anyway....nope...it wasn't you 🙂

Hi, I thought, possibly a Tourettes Symdrome sufferer or someone with psychological problems. Try not to see it as a personal attack, but from some-one who is unwell. Sorry that you were the receiving end,
Jenny

Ah... just ignore him... probably he has unsatisfied desires but being such a ‘handsome’ no one could help him... leave this creature in peace and forget
