I'm waiting for at least a couple of others to come out of the woodwork for you. 🙂 It's not for me to name them: I think they log on to HP rather rarely. But I was in Somerset till three years ago, and there were some nice meet-ups such as a seaside trip. Maybe when they log onto HP again, they'll notice this thread. 🙂

P.S. Wow, how do you manage that? A member since 2007 and ten posts! Look at the number of mine! 😮 😀

Welcome Crystal elf. I have just this minute come back from Axbridge! I had lunch with my friend who lives there and we went to The Lamb. A very tasty lamb roast it was too lol. I come to Axbridge fairly regularly to see my friend and will be there again the end of July for her husband's birthday party.

Hello Reikiangel! Thats amazing! I actually do some part time work at the Lamb and I was working there yesterday lunchtime!!! Unfortunately I can’t claim to have cooked your lamb roast but I can pass your compliments on to the chef.:D
What a small world we live in!

Hi Somerset Angel! Wow! That was a bit of a coincidence (if you believe in them)…..not only that we were in the same place at the same time, but that Shambalaized decided to start the thread just a few days before!

I have lived in Somerset for 26 1/2 years. My youngest was a baby then, which is how I remember it so precisely. Not a babe in arms exactly, for he was more often on the front, or later the back, of his father's pushbike! When we arrived, we were camping while looking for a place to rent. His father, bless him, cycling off to the launderette every so often with a pannier full of nappies .... that's how principled we were, no disposables for us!
In the meantime we acquired a car, started and stopped an organic vegetable business, raised the family, and now Mike is milking the cows next doors, though only part time.
I spend a lot of time writing a food blog, Thought for Food, see below, which amongst other things tells you what to sow and eat seasonally in Somerset. Have a peek.
We live in a tiny hamlet with a lovely church and are very happy here.
I've been visiting this forum for a few weeks, but only just now saw the country thread.
Love from Annemieke.

Hi, I know this is a 'longshot', but I'm hoping that there are members from the Somerset area still logging on here. I've been a member since 2003 and used to post, but life got in the way, illness etc and I've only just found myself back here! I'm based near Bridgwater, and would love to hear from anyone who would like to chat about spiritual/psychic/paranormal matters and Angels!
