You are not alone Paula however the audience within NI seems to be small.

Tell me about it. The North of England and Scotland seem to be in the same boat...

Swedish is not too bad dare I say! I did it same time as Aromatherapy massage and I do admit that whilst I do few treatments that Swedish techniques are used infrequently. I also did the Advanced Body massage course in BIFHE (Belfast) and find the acupressure aspects much more valuable - these I blend with my normal massage treatments as appropriate.

Best wishes with the IHM - haven't done that course but my real desire is to find a suitable course (more advanced than VTCT Level III) that seeks to really blend anatomy and physiology (and pathology) with massage practices.

Regards
Anxious

Hi Paula,
good luck for your Indian Head exam tonight! x Have been talking about Reiki with a friend in Belfast, she will be finished this summer but I'd love to know some more ..if you'd like I can give you a swedish massage so you can see for yourself if you'd like to get started with it x

Hi Anxious,
I found it very confusing at the beginning as nobody could advise where the difference between Swedish and body massage is so I settled for Swedish massage as my starting point...I'm still doing 'baby steps' but very interested and openminded ...but finding good advice seems very hard ...maybe we could exchange experiences??? x
