Hi, I've just completed a LaStone simply stones course which I found very enjoyable and informative. I was given a spa pro heater and basalt stones, but having done the course with LaStone I now see that the set of basalt that I have is completely inadequate. People need to be very careful that what they end up with is not inferior. Some of the stones are very small and would be useless for massaging or effleuraging with and some are so thin that they will just not hold the heat for very long. To be honest they look like they were picked up off a beach somewhere and they are badly matched. Anybody else experienced this. LaStone uses ethically sourced stones.

Plus of course there were no cold/marble stones in the set.

Hi

Not sure if i can mention where i got my stones - you can pm me if you wish, but i just got them recently as i've just opened a salon. I am hoping to try them out this weekend on a friend to really see what they are like.

Anyway i got mine from an american company, even with the added shipping costs it worked out alot cheaper than buying them here in Ireland - there were 66 stones in all and i opted for the larger heater. The sizes seem to be perfect too - will let you know how i get on with them after the weekend
