hello all,

I have searched the web for holistic therapies in / around Cork city (up to 10 miles around) and not found much...

what is it: are there no clinic / therapy shop (like Neils' Yard in the UK)?

is every therapist working from home?

I was looking for a centre where therapists rent rooms on a self employed basis, and customers come and can choose to have acupuncture, massage or reflexology, for example.

If anyone knows about the situation, I would be truly happy to hear you!:D

There are a few places around, they usually advertise when a room becomes available. Fushia on Cornmarkey street may have something, or the crystal connection also on cornmarket street. Also there is a place in middleton that advertised for rooms recently.

Good luck finding something! 🙂

LOL!!! Property prices in Ireland are crazy right now, its not just Cork! Believe me when I say it makes me also [&o]

I am not a practising therapist though I have trained and received certs in different aspects of complementary therapy. I haven't yet felt the time was 'right' to start practising, but that will come!

Are you hoping to set up a practice in Ireland?

RE: Holistic therapies in Cork??

yep!

ideally, open a salon/clinic in Cork but then when I saw the property prices I got suddenly "realistic"! 😉

It is probably crazy and immature and premature as I dont even live in Ireland [sm=jump1.gif], but I am at the present very attracted to the idea of moving there. thing is, it was the first foreign country I visited as a teenager, and lived for a short time in, and I fell in love with its people and the land, but then moved to London instead! now I wished I had moved to Ireland as my heart was telling me to..

anyway, I am not even qualified yet (another lunatic fact!), but have been into holistic stuff and spiritual aspects for a while, so I somehow know this is what I want to do.

Ireland and Cork seem such a great place...until Iuncovered the scary figures on Irish property web sites, so now i wonder how I am going to make it if I move there! not fair: had I moved moons ago, it would have been so much easier.

but still the Irish spirit is calling me every morning I wake up! am thinking of re-visiting around Christmas, the only time I will be free to do so. I know: the weather will be so rubbish, but then I am not after a sunny holiday!:D

Have you checked on ? despite the .com bit it is an Irish site and sometimes there are rooms to rent in therapy centres advertised on there.

Otherwise Fuschia and Dervish in the Coal Quay and Quay Co-op are good places to search out info.

Good luck

No Problem

A bald man took a seat in a beauty shop. "How can I help you?" asked the stylist. "I went for a hair transplant," the guy explained, "but I couldn't stand the pain. If you can make my hair look like yours without causing me any discomfort, I'll pay you $5,000.""No problem," said the stylist, and he quickly shaved his head.----------------------------------Do you look for free wow gold?
