Sorry - didnt realise that Ireland had its own forum!

Iam English, but married to an Irishman - and have lived in Ireland since 1998.

I live in Co Wexford, which is on the east coast.

RE: Hello from Ireland

Ireland is the ancestral home of both my parents (Cork and Mayo). Regretfully, I've never set foot, but my eldest son has. He was sent there from California by his company to work for a period of time. It's one of many places he has lived abroad and he says that it is by far his favorite of all. He worked there for about 4-6 months and was captured by everything he saw and experienced. Says it would only take a small nudge to get him back there permanently........

Hi All,

Love and Light, i am from Mornington, so not too far from you!! I am spending more and more time on HP each day now, every day i find a different forum to post on, have so much to learn. I find courses are very thin on ground in our area.

Hi Jess,

I must confess I have never heard of Mornington and had to look it up! I have lived in Clare all my life. I work full time and do therapies (Reiki, massage, Hot stones, IHM & Reflexology) in the evenings. Hard work sometimes but I love it. You are right about HP, there is so much to learn and explore. I have to stop myself from having a quick peek during the day at work!!

Blessings,

Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Yes its only a small place in county Meath, very near Drogheda. I am originally from uk. At moment i just do Reflexology, but will be taking my Reiki 2 soon, so hopefully will be able to include that as well. I am a SAHM, so work round hubbies shifts with clients, but to tell truth I am finding it very hard to find clients. I find that many people prefer to go to fancy salons than to go to someones home, I keep advertising and everyone that has come to me has always come back, but its very slow. Are you busy in the evenings? You must get very tired, i find its the energy side of things that drains me and i am not at my best in the evening. I am hoping to do a flower essence course, but want to do soemthing different like the Bush Flower ones or there is a lady on her who does Moonflower essences (thats my wiccan name) so i am very drawn to her, but her courses are only in UK.

Better go, just whizzed on here quick while my little boy is asleep, supposed to be doing housework but...............

Chat soon,

Jess

Hi Jess,

It is hard sometimes working full-time and doing therapies in the evenings though I do find that once I finish my day job and start on my therapies I am completely energised. Some weeks I am busy (for me that would be 4 clients a week), other weeks it may only be 1. I didn't really advertise as such but gave my leaflets to friends, work colleagues and anyone I knew. It has been slow but word is starting to get around and I am slowly building a little client base. I have a therapy room set up at home and also work mobile and I find that most people enjoy coming for treatments as its out of the car and straight in without meeting anyone. I have one client that comes in her pj's so she can hop straight into bed after her massage! I have 2 boys aged 5 & 8, they are always very quiet when someone is having a treatment and at that time in the evenings its their wind down time so no noisy playing!

Its tough sometimes but I absolutely love it and it is something that I have always wanted to do for myself so I am very happy.

I hope you enjoy doing your Reiki 2 and the Moonflower essences sounds really interesting, pity the course is in UK, you never know an opportunity might arise that you could hop on Ryanair and get over to do one.

Take care,

Love & blessings,

Rachel
