I thought I would put this onto the Essex forum as there seem to be quite a few HPers from this often maligned county and I thought I would put in a good word for it's beautiful bits.
I belong to a walking club which ventures out once a month and have visited some absolutely beautiful corners of Essex, some of which I probably wouldn't have come across had I not been a keen walker.
Anwyay today I visited for the first time Warley Place nature reserve which I cannot believe I have never been to before. It is basically the grounds of a now ruined large house and estate which has been allowed to revert back to wilderness and now carefully maintained by the local wildlife trust. The photos on the link below do not do it justice. It is just like the Secret Garden. Beautiful.
Any other undiscovered corners of Essex that anyone would like to share?
