Can anyone help with info on dog kennels in Europe which helps out with Pets Passport to avoid the six months isolation as per laid down by British law.

RE: Quarantine

I think they may be something on the Home office website about pet passports and the procedures to follow.

Hi
Contact your vet and he will arrange it all. Do get it done soon as the whole procedure takes months

I think it's the vaccinations being up to date before and after travelling which is the most important. Could be worth talking to your vet for approved kennels and the best way to travel.

RE: Quarantine

I know this is going to frustrating to read as I don't know the link I was reading, but I do know for definite that you pet has to be up to date with his jabs , it also has to be chipped and registered, and you need a pet passport from your vet. then you are able to take your pet only to European countries that take part in the pet passport scheme. Before you return to the UK you have to visit a European vet to get a certain form filled in saying they too have checked your pet and observed that in their opinion you pet is safe to travel.

To be honest it's so much hassle it put us off 🙁 We decided that the family wonderlust will have to wait a couple more years until our beloved pooch shuffles off the planet, as we're not prepared to put her through the stress of kennels. She throws up with worry if we even get the tent out of the loft!
