The little bunnies about 6 days old, were attacked by a dog and orphaned.
Two out of the litter didn't survive, and the other three weren't doing well .............
Noah is a non-releasable, one-legged homing/rock dove living in a rehab centre. Noah kept going over to the bunny cage and looking in - even sleeping in front of the door to the cage.
There were only two bunnies in the cage but when Noah moved a bit from the front of the cage, to everyone's surprise there was the tiny bunny under Noah's wing, which was sound asleep. That little bunny rabbit had crawled through the cage, preferring a featherbed, no doubt to snuggling up with its littermates!
Now they are all together and the bunnies are doing GREAT. When the bunnies scoot underneath Noah's feathers, he carefully extends his wings out to surround them and then they snuggle. When one of them moves and they start sticking out here and there, he gently pushes them back under him with his beak! It is beautiful and amazing to see...
What a lovely story. I hope you all enjoy it too.

Hi Moonfairy,
I’ve only just caught up with these wonderful photos – thank you so much for posting them.
I just love all the wonderful stories we find on these pages, of the universality of divine Love and how it is so beautifully expressed in the animal, bird and even reptile kingdom! The bond of love, protection and companionship that can be built, sometimes between animals who are natural predators id awesome (like the lioness who raised an orphaned deer).
Your wonderful photos remind me of these parts of the 91st Psalm:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Noah certainly is those bunnies’ angel! :FIFangel:
Love and peace,
Judy
