My beautiful little 10 month old black cat, Daisy, has gone missing - last seen yesterday at about 5 p.m. Have searched for her with no luck. Will be sticking up flyers on lamposts this evening. Please can I ask for your prayers for her safe and speedy return to us. Thank you.

best of luck in finding your little kitten - we have two cats - coco and lenny (18 and 10 years old) and I couldn't imagine losing them, we lost sooty to a sudden illness ten years ago when she was just 6 and it was terrible. don't give up on finding her - phone around all the vets in your area, the RSPCA, Cats Protection, the police, council wardens, put adverts in your newspapers, internet, local shops, flyers through doors, anything that could bring her back to you - the more people and organisations know about her the best chance you have of getting her home. Is she microchipped?? if she is at least that's a very good chance of finding her - keep positive and good luck xx

If there is anyone with a garage or shed, ask them to look inside, just incase she's got herself in and is a little unsure to come out. My parents cat Trex (yes i know), gets locked in the neighbours shed all the time, my dad has been known to feed him sardines through a hole in the shed whilst they wait for the neighbour to come home to let him out.

I know exactly how traumatic/stressful a missing cat can be. I had a cat growing up who disappeared for 2 weeks, she'd been locked in a greenhouse on the allotments and later got herself locked in a neighbours garage for a week. My current three have all taken it in turns to disappear for a few days, my Max refused to come home for a week once. I knew after a few days of searching that he was down in the woods but he wouldn't set foot in the house for some reason.

Try to think of your little miss out on an adventure and give her a good spoiling when she comes home.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and little Daisy that she comes home safely soon.

Love & light

Hi, thanks for your replies, very much appreciated.

Yes, she is microchipped (and spayed too - phew!!). If she is not back by the time I get home from work, I shall put up / deliver some posters - have printed some off in this eventuality and have also posted a missing appeal on our local town forum. We have two other cats also, one tends to go walk abouts but only for a matter of hours and the other one, just tends to sit on the windowledge sunning herself!

One of the things that has me worried though is that she doesn't have a loud meow at all - virtually non-existent - so you can't hear anything unless you are really listening...I wasn't too worried last night, but I know if she is not home later the floodgates are gonna open...

Thanks again.

My cat went missing for five days then turned up looking skinny and hungry, she was about 7 months old, cats always do this so please try not to worry yet.

Just an update, got home from work last night and there she was sitting in the kitchen stuffing her cute little face! Such a relief. I was praying all day and on the train home that she would be back - it is soooooooooo good. Made a great big fuss of her. She seems fine if somewhat a bit 'quiet' but I think that is to be expected. She hasn't gone near the catflap again yet, or any of the windows! I'll make sure she stays in for a couple of days and keep an eye on her over the weekend if she decides to venture out again. Thanks for your replies. LIFE IS GOOD XXX

Thanks all. Seems as though I have a bit of a 'wanderer' on my hands - she went out again on Sunday evening and came back at 4.42 a.m. this morning - so now I am not sooooooooooooooooooooooo worried, worried but not so much now 😀

Hi,

I'm delighted your cat is back. Don't worry too much - cats are independent (its part of their charm).

David:)

What a relief, we too have a 10 month old black cat, Myrtle (was my daughter and her ex bf's cat, but lives with me and my daughter now) She has been chipped and spayed too, she is quite nervy but will venture out. I still bring her in when I go out, hate the thought of losing her or her not being safe !

Our last cat Purdie never ventured very far, out the front and just in the back garden, more of a housecat really, which I was glad of lol
