Just a rant at the stupidity of some folk down in Kent! 😡
A dolphin which is known as 'Dave' ( but is actually a female!) seems to of taken residence in Sandagte for the past year or so and is a bit of a celebrity.:) Now whilst i can understand the curiousity of people wanting to catch a glimpse of 'him', what i cannot understand is the sheer stupidity and ignorance of some who, despite warnings from marine biologists and the police not to get too close in person or boat, ignore this and as a result, Dave's fin has been injured.:(
On the local news and papers, there was footage and photos of people surrounding the dolphin, holding onto his fin and one idiot who PUT his young child on Dave :confused: As the marine biologists have pointed out, Dave is a wild mammal who may cause injury, and is losing his fear of boats and people, which dosen't bode well. I have a horrible feeling that the only way the mindless minoirty will stop is when Dave is badly injured or even dead.

My jaw dropped when i saw the footage of the blatant disrespect of those who just would not leave the dolphin in peace, and as the marine biologists rightly pointed out, if 'Dave' injures someone, 'he' may become the target of a revenge attack.:(

I think people have had a good look and now it is time for them to ignore Dave( what a name for a girl!!) for her own good.she will eventually having had no attention go back to her own kind?
