My daughter has two cats, and there is a catflap on the backdoor, and a catflap into the kitchen.
How can she keep a rogue cat out of her house?
He comes in when she is out, eats the food and makes himself at home in the kitchen until he hears her come home.
Her two cats are not what you would call assertive, so they dont do anything to keep him away.

Maybe your daughter could replace the cat flap and install an electronic cat flap on the outer door. Her cats wear a collar with a chip and the cat flap will only open for her cats, otherwise it remains closed.
Lol Donna you beat me to it:). Here is an example of what we mean

This is what I would do...
I would leave him some food outside to encourage him that he doesn't have to come inside to eat.
Doesn't mean to say that is what anyone else has to do.
Rogue cats don't come into mine because I have a dog.
thankyou
I have just sent her the link

ps I dont think the rogue cat is a hungry stray..he just likes the vibe and the food at this 'cat hotel' 🙂

Tigress, thank you for your sharing. 🙂
I hope it all goes well for your daughter.
I've seen at my vet you can now buy cat flaps that you can program the cat's microchip into. It can take up to 30 microchips apparently and only the cats with the set microchips can get through. No need for collar's and magnetic discs then. If her cats are anything like mine who lose their collars the same day they are put on. I've given up with collars. lol
Good luck.
found her a link to that and sent it..looks like she might have a solution she could instal before the end of the month
