Hi
We have a very spoilt little cat called Sopie, who is not that affectionate (only when it suits her!) and is agressive when picked up, but is loved very much.

One month ago we adopted a little fellow Jack who was a stray and a visit to the vets told us he had worms, fleas, was starving and had constant diarrohea for which he has antiboitics.

However, Sophie has made it clear he is unwelcome and after 1 month he still has to live upstairs away from her as she is very agressive towards this gentle little fellow.

I've tried using the same brush, swopping eating bowls, letting them sniff through crack in door and swopping them around (sophie upstairs and jack downstairs) I think she would kill him if left to it and he is still unwell with diarrohea.

Please help, any ideas greatly appreciated, we love bad tempered sophie but I couldnt bear to be parted from this gentle little soul jack

It sounds like Sophie is a bit jealous of Jack. I would try using some flower remedies - there is an alcohol free range out which is good for pets. Try the remedy for jealousy for Sophie such as holly and walnut for dealing with change. I've found with my cats that there is always a top cat that bosses the other one around, even with cats from the same litter.

Here's a link to the remedies:

Hiya

Two litter trays will help.

When we merged families and cats, our old lady Tammy didn't like new arrival Moet, so for about six weeks we used to put Vine Bach Flower Remedy in her food, 4 drops per meal. I think it's worth a try as it helped ours tolerate each other. Mind you, she lived for the next 10 years without actually learning to appreciate Moet's finer points!
