If i was ever to be fortunate enough to move into a house that had an ample garden, I would have these types of duck as I think they're so hilarious.:D I can't remember exactly what site has it on there (either eglu or omlet), but they've been described as 'the walking winebottle'.
Does anyone have these ducks? If so, I'm highly envious indeed!
I hadn't heard of them but googling your title line gave many results, including this one:
a video of duck racing!!! It's not a very good quality vid, but there are masses of others in the 'Related' list on the right.
Lots of other results, including this one, chosen at random, but has a lot of stills pix:

Lol, I LOVE that first video Holistic! They are so comical to watch!
(use of animals in human entertainment etc aside, of course)
xx
Yes, that video was most amusing :D, thanks for sharing Holistic 🙂
I saw them being herded up on an episode of 'countrywise/wide', and fell in love with them as I also think they've got such a charming character about them :043:

I tend to take the viewpoint that animals are happiest doing what they were bred to do [rather like the huskies which have currently been seen pulling a sledge in Suffolk and clearly LOVING it - sorry, CL, :offtopic:I know, but further confirming my point :o]

Former neighbours of mine had two ducks, as well as many hens and a few geese - all rescues. The ducks used to escape their garden and waddle down the road to announce their presence outside my front door. Great characters, as you say. Their owner told me they craved human company and that's why they came visiting when they were out. There was much clearing up needed afterwards though 😉

I've always thought them hilarious to watch. We had lots of rescue ducks at one stage, including a couple of these, who lived on a pond on the farm and we used to thow them some food in winter time and they were free to come and go, but sadly they disappeared - we assumed charlie fox got hungry! Love having ducks around though.
They're wonderful creatures, aren't they.
I saw them at a sheepdog demonstration locally where they really gave the dog a run for his money. [sorry about the pun] The ducks escaped twice and had to be hearded back into the small arena.
Both dog and ducks [about 12 in all] seemed to be enjoying the whole experience.
If you get a chance to see them then it's not to miss.
Cheers
