I have just received the following e-mail and wonder if people could send some Reiki to Izzy and if anyone has experienced this disease before.

My pitbull (spayed female 10+
yrs) had a lump appear overnight on her right hip the Sunday before Memorial
Day Weekend. I took her to the vet the next day and he said that it was
just a fatty lump that had come up through the tissue. Gave me meds for 2
days and said that if not down in a couple of days come back and have it
X-rayed. This I did. Again, kept to their verdict. Izzy was off her food
over that weekend and the Tuesday morning 6/1 the lump had spread and she
was limping and struggling to get up. I spoke to a vet at the clinic and
they said to give her an aspirin and booked her in for surgery to remove the
"lump" on the Thursday. Wed am when I went to walk Izzy, I noticed that she
looked as though she was pregnant on her right side! She just made it
outside to do her toilet and then collapsed. I carried her in, called the
vet and took her straight in to the clinic. Again the vet said that the
belly swelling could be totally unrelated to the lump on her hip. They took
blood tests and X-rays and saw heavy internal bleeding. They operated on
the assumption that she had a ruptured spleen. This was not so. Stitched
her up and cut open the lump which exploded. It was a tumor. The rest of
it had ruptured internally, hence the bleeding. They removed as much as
possible and put her on "Baytril 136mg" for 6 days (1 1/4 tabs per day).
Sent tissue for biopsy. Sunday following, vet calls me to say it has come
back diagnosed as a Hangia Sarcoma (spelling??) and he's sorry but there is
nothing that he can do for her. Well she has recovered almost 100% but I
know in my heart that her system is poisoned and I want to find out from you
if there is anything that I can do for her so that she can happily live out
the rest of her years.

Poor thing. Reiki light on its way to Izzy xx

I'm afraid I dont know anything about Hangia Sarcomas I cant seem to find them in my books either. Sarcomas are normally cancerous but I'm not sure what or where a Hangia is. I'll see if I can come up with anything.

Such a sad story.. i really hope things work out for Izzy 🙁

It makes me angry to hear stories like these, why do vets delay things such as x-rays etc when they are supposed to be helping the animal get better and survive things like this need to be done asap cancer spreads so quickly GRRRR!!

Anyway, i couldn't find anything on Hangia Sarcomas either but i did find this website which i thought was quite interesting It does have some gory pics though so if your squeamish i wouldnt look at it. [DLMURL] http://www.thepetcenter.com/gen/can.html [/DLMURL]

I will keep searching for you ...

Poor Izzy loads of reiki on its way to you and Izzy. It is amazing how strong animals are. I have an old cat Alfie he has had a few near misses in life but he is still going stong at 14 years. He was knocked over by a car 7 years ago and every one said he would not pull through but here he is today as loving and cheeky as ever.

Love and light

RE: Help Wanted for Izzy

Lots more Reiki on the way to Izzy.
I've had a look at my books too - seems homeopathy can be very helpful for cancers, I'd also suggest boosting the immune system to help her body fight the infection. Essiac is brilliant for cancer - it's a mixture of 4 herbs given as a drink, safe for animals. Wellspring Herbal in Wales sells it. Loads of info if you do a search on web.
Lots of luck and healing.
