Dog Nappies

Oh dear. Not a good situation for you. Can't say I've tried nappy's on a dog, seems a little odd.

How long are you having to leave your dog unattended? Is there anyone who could pop in during the day to let him out to relieve himself. Is there any reason why he's suddenly started peeing through the house? May be worth speaking to the vet make sure there is nothing wrong with him physically?

Can you restrict your dogs access to the majority of the house to prevent accidents throughout. Maybe a utility room or somewhere similar that is easier to clean and him only having a small area to roam and "guard" may be less stressful for him which may help.

My mum's dog was doing similar, she's 14. When she came to me I treat her like a puppy and she was put out into the garden ever couple of hours so she had the opportunity to go and also one overnight outing so she wasn't having to go the full 8 hours in her bed crossing her legs. Seemed to work and we've retrained her bladder to hold for about 4 hours now, which I think is quite long enough for them to have to hold it during the day, especially as they get older bless em.

Thanks for reply, thing is he is not really left at all without having access to the outside, now even when we are all in we turn round and notice/smell a new wet patch. I have seen the dog nappies, quite a few available on internet, it does seem hilarious though the thought of putting a nappy on him 😮

If you put him in nappies I want to see pics please. It certainly does sound hilarious.
