My vet always recommend a little extra bran in their food (the powdery stuff you can get from the supermarket). If it's cause by getting blocked up with fur you could try a furball remedy from the pet shop. There is one that had various oils in it to help ease it through the system. They seem to like the taste too!

Our vet gave us something called catalax which looks a bit like marmite in a tube. We just smear a little bit of it on the monsters paw and he loves to lick it off. Best thing to do is speak to your vet.
