Mum has bowel cancer (now removed) which spread to her liver (now undergoing chemo), and lost count of how many Dr's visits/hospital stays and appointments.

But this thread isn't about her..it's about her little pet..a teeny weeny black poodle.

Whenever mum has gone off her food so has Lucy, when mum cannot sleep, neither can Lucy, and Lucy has suffered a number of minor problems ..

However recently she's had so little appetite and had a number of vets visits....and waiting for tests.....

In the meantime they think she may have an infected or stressed bowel and liver!...Last night mum and dad were up all night with little Lucy as they thought she was dying....but she pulled round again...for now

So do youthink a pet can have such empathy with it's owner it can pick up the symptoms - conditions?

Deinitely yes. Animals have very well developed emotional bodies and spend a lot of time in the emotional realm. Most of the time they are very good at clearing themselves of human negative emotions, but some times, this energy builds up and they can't neutralise it and will begin to either manifest the symptoms the owners have, or become ill as they struggle to rid themselves of human emotions. Stress in animals can indicate they are picking up too many energies and can't release them.

Well it's sad to see the little one in such a state. But she always clung to mum from being a pup. Mum couldnt even go to the loo without Lucy wimping at the door (very spoilt little poodle ).

I do believe they pick up on our symptoms of illness, and they instinctively sense emotions - when there is upset, tension, worry and stress.
And they do absorb the energies around them - if they can't release them fully, then I think in time they will start to show symptoms - possibly similar to our own given that we are the people closest to them.

I had a dog for years (spoiled rotten, I admit - just like your mum's Lucy!). Having watched him closely I could see this happening - following a lengthy period of illness of my own! Some of his symptoms were similar to mine!

Nowadays we have cats - our own plus those we have rescued and haven't been able to re-home - and I have seen similar happening with 2 of them.

Poor little Lucy - its hard to watch them when they are unwell. I hope she gets well soon!

Absolutely, maybe not actual conditions but symptoms of it.

It's not uncommon for animals to end up with the same condition as their owners.
