what does this mean to you and do you think it goes far enough?
I hope they get it sorted out soon, why do they have to wait till next year to bring it in.
What will it mean to animals in circuses? Will all of them get banned or just certain animals?
What else does it cover other than pets in the home? Will it include tougher laws on pet shops aswell?
I recenlty heard of a pet shop that has been banned three times from selling animals, but all they do is open under a new name and carry on as normal and in the exact same shop!!! Surely this will have to be looked into aswell .
Also there is already talk amongst the animal circus abusers that they want to poss goto the EU to get it over turned if they get banned. Do u think this is likely a)that they will bother to do this and b) if they do , that the EU will be on thier side and let them contiue abUSING animals?
When roughly will this new law actually come into force?
Sorry so many questions lol, I just feel this will be a massive step in the right direction for animals esp those in circuses if animal circuses get banned. We can but hope I guess.

I really hope they put this through ,
what I am looking for at the moment esp is circus animals , what (if any) will the animal circuses that remain in the UK be allowed to keep and what will they not be. Also when will thebill come into action.
I really do hope this bill does come into action and soon and so we can stamp out some of the animal abuse that happens.

So far as I know it will go through, there are lots of discussions going on between DEFRA, the RSPCA, NARP and several other bodies, the KC as well all laying down guidelines about what can be done and what can't be done, among other things those kids you see dragging round 20 dogs at a time will be illegal as the max will be 4. There is just so much to be covered from farm animals to pet care and pet shops to animal shows - big Agricultural Shows to Crufts, and all the cat shows , rabbit and small animal shows, plus circus and aquariums. They aren't dragging their feet, just an awful lot of different species to be covered. The NARP people who just cover small domestic pets spent about 6 months in consultation with DEFRA.
