Mike/Paul; I hope I am allowed to put this on HP?
Just to let you all know that I have adopted a ram called Remus. He is so lovely and he only has 3 legs due to being badly injured in a transporter. Luckily he was saved - unlike his little friends.
Anyway the purpose of this info is that the charity concerned are desparate for new adopters. (they stay at the farm, you get pictures, updates and christmas cards from your adopted animal) They have lots of animals (mainly sheep) but also goats, horses, pigs and cows. They really do work really hard for the animals and I hate to think of them having to close due to lack of funds. Although i have adopted Remus for myself its a 'different' type of christmas pressie for children. If anyone is interested please email me directly and I will send you the details (by post only, as the details are on paper). The farm is in Warwickshire, England

I love sheep and pigs and would love to own one! Unfortunatly I haven't got my own house we are renting.:(
I will have one one day though! My boyfriend thinks that I am mad[sm=jump1.gif] He says 'why don't you like cute furry things, why do you like pigs'! I just love their little noses! Ahh!
Never mind. Hope that you get lots of support, and I hope that your kids like Remus!

Vicki - wat kind of horses do they have? Riding ones or companions? I have quite a few connections in the horsie world so could spread the charities name across a few boards to see if there is any interest. Do they have a web address? Whats the name of the charity? 🙂

Netty, I have just edited my info. Maybe I didnt make it clear, I dont have Remus with me! He lives at the farm. I wish i did have room for him.
I must admit piglets are very cute, but some species of pigs grow SO big! I didnt realise some of them grow so much. When you pick up piglets they just squeel so!
Dont know what your boyfriend would think of my neighbour, although they do have 2 lovely cats they also have exotic toads/frogs which eat mice (yuck!) and exotic huge snails, along with lots of hamsters and a goldfish. All of this in a 1 bed house! (the snails are safe though as she is a veggie)!

Doogle, Please see my response to Netty. I obviously didnt make my info too clear! The charity is called FARM ANIMAL RESCUE SANCTUARY (FARS) they do have a web site but it doesnt appear to be working at the moment but its: Most of the animals they have have been rescued from the meat trade.
