This might sound little cheesy, but I made the best chocolate smoothy with the help of the below site. And I'm looking forward to start cooking as well. They look delicious!

This looks good, Lorela - thanks for sharing! I don't follow a particular diet, but simply try to be sensible and creative with the foods I eat, so this site could be quite useful.

And hey, they said it... dark chocolate (in moderate amounts) is a SUPERFOOD!!!

Thanks Lorela!
This page is fab! I'm actually going to try the sweet potato chips tonight!
My boy has a very limited diet and has a passion for chicken nuggets!
So I make my own, well, actually, William does them now! It's a good entertainment while I'm tidying the kitchen!
There is also a great website which has hundred of wholefood recipes:

It will take you through 3 different stages in introducing whole food in your family's diet.
It was a great support for me as I had to educate myself first. I can't say I have a perfect diet but at least I'm cooking regularly with good stuff!
Una 🙂

Why 'Healthy but Delicious'? As if it is a contradiction?
I could give you thousands of healthy AND delicious recipes, but will restrain myself to one today. And as we have been talking about chocolate, I make it a sweet one.
I loved this:

BEETROOT CAKE
220g grated beetroot, 130g wholemeal flour, 2 tsp baking powder, pinch of salt, 150g softened butter, grated zest of 1 orange, 75g caster sugar (I used less myself, but I'm not used to sweet), 3 eggs, 60g ground almonds, 150g of dried fruit and nuts.
Cream butter and zest, beat in sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices, fold in. Add fruit, nuts, ground almonds and beet. Spoon into lined tin and bake at 180C for 40-45 minutes.

I hope so do you! :dft011:

Why 'Healthy but Delicious'? As if it is a contradiction?

Well, I wouldn't say it's inherently so - just that there are plenty of (purportedly) healthy foods that are not delicious, and plenty of delicious foods that aren't healthy... 😀

That aside, though, your beetroot cake sounds delicious, Anne Mary! I'd love to try it some time.

Here, in return, is one of my own favourites in the healthy AND delicious category. (I posted this a while back in one of the threads in the recipes forum - there are plenty of other great culinary ideas there!)

Choc Chip Banana Biscuits

2 cups rolled oats
100g almond meal
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon
3 large, ripe bananas, well mashed
1 tsp natural vanilla extract or essence
1/4 cup olive oil
150 - 180g dark chocolate, chopped (or use good quality chocolate chips)

Mix together oats, almond meal, baking powder and cinnamon in a bowl. In a larger bowl, combine mashed bananas, vanilla extract and olive oil. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined. Fold in chocolate chunks to mix them evenly throughout the dough.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and drop dollops of dough about an inch apart - they can be bite-size (about 2 tsp) or a little larger. Bake at 175C for 12-14 minutes.

This makes anywhere from 30-40+ biscuits depending on the size you make them. They are quite moist, not too sweet, and very delicious - healthy, too! You can vary the size of the choc bits (from shavings to whole chunks), and use sugar-free, vegan or any other specialty chocolate you prefer, as long as it's good quality! Or, if you don't want chocolate, I'm sure it would also work with chopped dried fruit (especially apricots) or berries.

Enjoy!
