Would I Lie To You?

This is new: my first ever fun-quiz thread. :p

But there's a TV series I've seen several times now.

And if it takes off it could be fun on HP. For those who've not seen the show, as I hadn't till recently, four stories are told, and on the TV series some are true, some are not, by celebs.

I suggest changing the format a bit. We can each tell four stories about ourselves (all will be improbable), but though improbable, one is true!

How to set up a scoring system as to who is winning someone else might suggest. But I'll kick off, so it's four stories and only one is TRUE. People have to have one go at which is true. Only one go. And others might like to do their own 4 stories here to see if it kicks off and keeps going?

Oh, by the way, the confessors then have to explain about the true story, and maybe the untrue stories are near to what happened!

Right ...

1. I once literally pushed Princess Margaret and her bodyguard out of my way as I was busy shopping.

2. I was once asked to have sex on top of a mummy's sarcophagus in a public museum.

3. The phone rang one day, and it was Paul McCartney, who'd read my new book. We met and became friends through the 80s.

4. In my twenties, with little equipment, I got to within 3,000 feet of the top of Everest, but turned back 'cos of a recurring diarrhoea problem.

So only one is true. I'll leave it to see if the quiz takes off before declaring who scored a point! :p

Any other takers? Four stories, but only one is absolutely true. :p

P.S. People can add comments regarding each story anyone tells about why they think it's totally unlikely, or could be true. That's all part of the fun.
