Quiz to find out what type of meditator you are. Possibly a bit superficial, but the questions were interesting and the answer might be revealing. I am a sensory meditator apparently - I can see how that might be true.
Interesting....... I'm a visual meditator. I do find it easy to visualise but hard to meditate. Might try the suggestion that came at the end of the quiz.
Well, well, well....I'm a mantra-based meditator - which is exactly right! It's what I am!

I'm Mantra!
jesus, the woman we would most like to emulate was a difficult question (by the way funny it was a woman and not a man).
they quote Deepak Chopra, is he any good?

Woohoo! I got mantra meditation! Spot on. 😉
I am mantra-based as well! I was surprised so I'll have to give it a go! 🙂
Sensory for me
You learn things by having your senses stimulated. You might enjoy an eating meditation, which involves bringing your attention to the details of your food—the way it looks, feels, smells, where it came from—and being aware of how you feel as you eat it. You might also enjoy meditating in nature, looking at the stars, or meditating to calming music.

well...meditation specifically, as I know he has a school of ayurveda (massage etc) and wrote books on ayurveda. yes, is he any good regarding meditation?

Sorry, Fadette, my original reply was a little facetious. I've never read any Deepak Chopra. I only know that a lot of movie stars/singers (like Madonna, I believe) say that he's their guru of choice. He's very popular, very media friendly. I guess he must have something...But as for any good regarding meditation? Well, my take on meditation is that once you know the technique you want to use (and there are several) then it's down to each person to actually put the sitting time in. Twice a day is optimum.

I'm a mentra-based also... will have to try it.
I'm Mantra based - of course, as I teach a mantra meditation technique.
Deepak was my teacher and yes - he is good. Read some of his books - the earliest ones are best. Quantum Healing, Ageless Body Timeless Mind, The Seven Spiritual laws of Success and Perfect Health are the classics. Don't be put off by his popularity with the famous and flakey; it's not really his fault if Madonna had a short-lived enthusiasm for his ideas. Deepak Chopra is a great teacher and an innovative thinker. He's not a Guru, just a highly intelligent guy with a talent for bringing complex ideas to the masses and a real desire to change the world.
Of course I may be biaised because I know him and have learned a lot from him, but I have always found him admirable, profound and inspirational.
I got mantra too - but I find visualizations much more helpful than mantra's. But I had to guess at some of the answers - especially about my childhood which is FAR too long ago for me to remember lol
I'm afraid this one got me completely wrong - I've never been a mantra-based meditator. I start with a little prayer and maybe affirmation of intent, then move to visualisation and from there to blissful contemplation. But I have to work fairly fast: if I meditate for too long without moving on to doing something with the energy, such as Distant Healing, then I end up just struggling to stay in my body / grounded, which can become a distraction.
I was brought up in conventional religion and am not very fond now of using other people's arrangements of words, even though I'm a wordy Gemini at other times
I think they may have got me wrong too. I don't know what the other options are but I got the sensory meditation. I prefer sitting quietly and focusing on the breath - which is a mantra, of sorts.
