Anyone fancy a new thread? After all the old choc bars mentioned, it got me thinking about tv ads. There used to be some funny one's but at the moment they seem pretty boring.
How about telling us your favourite andyour most hated.
My fave is the Becks one with the music and men 'dancing'.
The one I really hate is the MFI one, all yelling and arguing-stupid and most annoying!

well i don't watch much telly but I really do like the "comfort" conditioner adverts, especially when they are dancing. 🙂 cannot think of one i don't like at the moment, will edit and change when I find one.

I agree with you about the MFI adverts not everyone lives that way, the one with the lady in the shower is awful. I like the car one where it's running at the moment, but it used to dance. Not much good though i can not remember which car it's advertising

I absolutely, absolutely love the Lloyds/TSB advert with the animated family on the Black Horse train. I think it is a lovely world and instantly rung a bell with me when I first saw it, although I don't know why.
But to me, even more wonderful is the singing. Every time it's on I try to keep up with it (much to my familys annoyance) you know the one - arh arh arh arh arrrrhhhh, arh arh arh arh arrrrhhhh ............................
I find the phones4u adverts a bit mind numbing.

I used to love the milky way advert when I was a child and can still remember the song...
The red car and the blue car had a race VRoom Vroom
But all red could do was stuff his face
He eats everything he sees from trucks to prickly trees
But smart ole blue he took the milky way...Oh no the bridge is down
poor old red can't carry on
But smart ole blue he took the Milky Way!!!
This was in the days before they changed milky ways and made them all manky ~ although flyte bars are very similar to how they used to be!
I don't really have a fave ad at the mo, but agree with everyone else who dislikes the MFI and Phones4u ads.
The one which really gets to me is the motorbike accident one, especially as I have had a few friends seriuosly injured or killed on there bikes in similar circumstances to the ad.

Have any of you ladies seen the aero chocolate advert yet? I don't usually watch the adverts, but saw it while trying to find something I had recorded. Crikey.....I had to rewind and have another look!! :newangel:

I have to say that I always loved the old tango ads - "you know when you've been tangoed" etc - like tha fat orange man slapping people round the ears
(we all used to get in trouble at school for copying that!)
Also of note has to be the Old Kia ora adverts with the cartoons - superb!!
Worst Ad I would have to say any of the finance type commercials - ocean finanace springs to mind - Have to switch over whenever they come on or i'd burst a blood vessel!!

The worst? or funniest? advert was the one where the little boy wants a poo (- yes a poo!!) but not at his house because they don't have the same air freshener as at Paul's house.
We were eating our tea at the same time - my boyfriends face was an absolute picture - couldn't stop laughing for ages tee hee 😀
The best (funniest too) is where the man is on the slide sliding from work, through the supermarket and other places to his house. The bit where he gets a little stuck and has to push himself along had me in stitches. This is because last year when we went to a huge waterpark in the Algarve my other half decided to wear his canvas shorts instead of his normal ones (hangs head in despair) and got stuck on a slide and had to run along the straight part.
Getting funny looks at work as I just burst out laughing and cannot explain why 😀
the one i hate is the double glazing ad you know the buy one get one free, and i loved the phil collins ape in the cadburys ad. have you noticed the ad men have won cos we have remembered the ads
