Annie, a nurse has recently married Eric. Eric comes from a rich background, but Annie loves him very much. One day, Anne comes home early to find Eric in bed with his mistress, Gwen. Gwen instantly recognises Annie as the nurse who switched off her fathers life support.

Some time later Eric and Annie's neighbour, goes around to visit, brining a cake and a sharp knife to cut the cake. The man, who is a bit of a loner, and suffers multiple personality disorder, edges in slowly, and screams. A body lies on the floor, with multiple stab injuries.

Who is the victim? who did it? what were the motives? Where are the others and what were they doing?

You add to the story. No HP members to be involved please, Imagenery first names only

The who’s, the whys and the wherefores were very unclear at this moment in time. Gerald the neighbour collapsed to the floor in shock, pointing to the understairs cupboard. From where Annie had entered the hallway she was unable to see the blood that had pooled in the cupboard doorway, she probably wouldn’t have registered it due to the bottle of scotch she had been working her way through. The cupboard door was halfway open and an arm could be seen on the floor with a note in its bloody hand. Annie was unable to make out what the scene represented at first but when the alcoholic fog lifted a little she realised there was no body, just an arm, she startled and screamed. What with the dreadful emotional upset she had suffered earlier in the day, finding her husband Eric in bed with this other woman and the ¾ empty Scotch bottle it was all too much for her, she started feeling very heavy in her head, everywhere started to become blurred, a sickness rose from her gut and she fell to the floor hitting her head against the leg of the antique dresser. She was out cold.

Annie had excelled through Nursing College and had enjoyed her career ever since, she was not used to alcohol but after Eric had walked out with his mistress Gwen that morning she had opened Eric’s 87 year old Scotch and started to drink it by the tumbler full.

The events that morning with Eric and his mistress had been rather indicative to Annie’s personal life. She had been married before but this had also broken down with her ex-husband being repeatedly unfaithful, Annie had contemplated suicide many times during that relationship but her faith had kept her alive, she had truly believed after a moment of angelic epiphany that things were going to get better and very quickly they did, when she had been on a very rare night out with her nursing colleagues she had met Eric. He was tall, dark and very ruggedly handsome but he was married. Annie hadn’t found this out until a couple of months into the relationship and due to her complete lack of self esteem and the fact that she adored Eric and all the attention he doted on her she couldn’t just walk away. Eric’s wife had found out about the affair and moved away with their 3 children to Gibraltar while they were divorcing. Eric never allowed Annie to become involved in the divorce proceedings and so she had never discovered what terms were laid down.

Annie woke in the ambulance but was very incoherent, she tried her hardest to talk, but the morphine made her feel as if she was floating on the ceiling.

The attending Inspector, Herbert Parrot stood looking at the dismembered arm that was riddled with stab marks. He removed the note and digested the information while twiddling his moustache. This was all very intriguing; they had just come from Mrs Sarah Todd’s house where a big toe and right ear had been discovered!!!
“Inspector, there’s just been another call” said PC Rumming……………………

The Inspector paused before answering, not wanting to imagine what they might discover next.
"I have a nasty feeling this is turning into a murder investigation. If it's not not then so far we're looking for a one armed, one eared assault victim with a limp." He said dramatically.

Inspector Parrot (silent ‘T’) was a tall gentleman and very much looked the part in his Mackintosh and Trilby Hat. He had been with the ‘Angelberry North’ Division for over 23 years now (his previous post was in the ‘Hellton South’ Division, but he always felt unappreciated and depressed in that post and so had put in for a transfer for higher grounds); he had been considering retirement until the mystery of the ‘body parts’ case had reared its ugly head.

The Inspector had learned over the years never to take evidence literally. The body parts that had been found could suggest many possible scenarios to their meaning. He would withhold judgment until he knew more; he would keep his ear to the ground and his eye on the ball. Human anatomy was one of Inspector Parrot’s other loves, he had always liked to keep his finger on the pulse with anatomy for just these kinds of cases. His right upper eyelid always twitched uncontrollably when he felt a case had more to it than meets the eye.

He walked over to the Police Car to take the call.
“Inspector Parrot!” he said in his usual commanding voice into the Police Car Radio mic.
“Sir, we have Mrs. Starling on the phone for you. She says she won’t speak to anyone else but you Sir!” The female voice from the control room relayed.
“Put her through,” he said with an air of exasperation. There was a 15 second delay while the Inspector waited for the connection; he became more agitated by this interruption.
“Hello…Hello is that Inspector Herbert Parrot?” Mrs. Starling enquired in her crackly, mature, feminine voice.
“Speaking,” he replied in an unemotional tone.
“Inspector Parrot, yes good…..this is Gloria Starling of no:6 Sunny Drive. I have some information regarding the body parts that have been found recently!” she announced.
“Really?” The Inspector was very familiar with Mrs. Starling and her illusions of being some great super sleuth. Her calls were becoming a regular nuisance to the Angelberry Police Station.
“Well, after analyzing all the information in the local ‘Daily Angelberry Probe’ paper and listening to my Police Radio Interceptor, I have deduced that the body parts found recently probably did not come from the same person, which means we have a serial killer on the loose, Inspector Parrot?!” Mrs. Starling eagerly waited for a response.
“And you have come to this conclusion, how, Mrs Starling?” Inspector Parrot had just about had enough of Mrs. Starling’s prattling on. She came to these wild conclusions about all the cases printed in the Daily Probe and had been served written notice that if she acquired another Police Radio Interceptor she would go up in front of the judge.
“Because Inspector Parrot..... I have just opened my post and have been sent ‘a left human ear’ and I do believe the ear you found in Mrs. Todd’s house yesterday was a left ear!!!!” Mrs. Starling declared her news with great smugness and pride.
She had suddenly got Inspector Parrot’s attention, his right eyelid started to flicker like a Hummingbirds wing……………………
