I would just like to say that having a psychic ability is not the same thing as being spiritual although it can be aligned to it. It's possible to be psychic without any interest in spirituality (personal growth/development, developing the heart/compassion etc).

I think that this is very true. I know people who are "psychic", but don't seem to have an ounce of compassion, and who's growth is centred around selfishness.
I wonder if the ability to be physic is just due to a slight variance of brain connectivity.

I don't disagree with you two one bit. But the poster hasn't said what gift.... I see no mention of psychic gift...we need to hear it from her rather than presuming that it's psychic or some other gift

Hi I've had a gift all my life but started to develop it 4 years ago. Went threw a tough time last year so stopped

I am a psychic mediumship had a gift all my life but scared me. Started to develop 4 years ago. Went threw a bad time and it stopped a while last 4 months I have given messages felt energies feeling other people's energy. Seeing energies. It's like my head is full of information. I can't seem to switch off and can be draining and overwhelmig

It's come back quick fast and felt like I was going mad but everybody could take the information I give them. And how. People I that had past got there personality looks rtf spot on.

I am sorry you seem to be slow to see the relevance of what I said, i.e. this thread is in the spirituality section and the newbie calls herself spiritual woman. The topic and her status is related to spiritualism not spirituality (which is not specifically related to that) and is more suited to the psychic section where she may get better matched readers.

Hi. If you are talking about your psychic ability relating to mediumship, then I would suggest you contact a recognised, established medium who would know how to control/monitor your gift. As you may well know, mediums congregate in spiritualist churches.

Alternatively, if you do not receive the specific help you need here, you may prefer to contact a psychic forum (there are many) which might offer you the advice you seek.

Ah, this is nothing new. People find that they can tune into all kinds of energy stuff, and it ends up being a nightmare.
Now there is no harm in being a psychic. You are probably an empath and get into people's stuff and non sense....and it becomes a prison.

There are a few things we need to understand before we start delving (consciously or unconsciously) into energy. I find most people don't understand the nature, essence and functionality of energetic work. Or how She moves, how it is allowed to move. Etc etc. the culture we live in is slightly patchy on in depth understanding of energy, yet it's easy to attune to all kinds of energies these days. Resulting in all kinds of phenomenon of knowings, tuning in, feeling emotions, seeing future etc etc. They are called Ridhi- Sidhi in Indian understanding. They are best swerved past as they contribute to ego -fuss and create more delusional persona. Not much merit there

I would suggest....you learn to move, pass and assimilate energy properly. A good teacher who is well versed in this knack can teach you how to deal with energy. In absence of this understanding, it is a curse and a useless ego trip that causes no good to yourself or others.

I always remind students to see the phenomenon for what it is- psychic knowings can come easily even with a little bit of inner work or even without any, but these 'gifts' are not tools for personal peace, as you are finding out...they are props of pseudo i identity....and part of the great delusion of personal i.

The brunt of it will lessen a little, keep your heart open and humble

Most of what Jnani says is true, however the advice given by Amy is also sound. If you want to pursue this "gift" as you call it then do it in a controlled and safe environment. Most spiritual churches run what they call circles. These circles provide guidance for anyone who wants to develop their mediumship abilities. But just as important they provide a means for you to be closely monitored so that any adverse reactions can be addressed. Forums are not the best places to get this monitoring. It is always safest to be face to face with an experienced and trustworthy tutor. Not all "energy" contacts have honourable intent.

Sounds like something that has to be taught. !

I was wondering if anyone thinks this sounds familiar, one night I was lying in bed around 4:00 am or so. And I opened my eyes to find a blinking sparkle that went out my window. It looked a lot like a Christmas light those ones that are strewn around on houses with small bulbs. But it was white. No other color maybe yellow but it was white. And then as I sat there wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me I stared at the spot where it was. And then I saw white dots or orbs lots of them outside the window it looked like it was snowing there was so many. All this happened while I was staring wide eyed at the window. I literally grabbed my phone to check if it was snowing. And then a huge and I mean bigger than a football sized orb maybe even bigger I didn’t have my glasses on arced from the dark and downwards. I sat up quickly and my drowsiness vanished at seeing this. I stared warily at the window feeling the hair on the back of my neck prickle in unease. I was freaked out to say it lightly. And looking close I could’ve sworn I saw (maybe) the same orb that fell on my room move and it reminded me of a silhouette?? I don’t know but whenever I think of what I saw I freak out and have a panic attack. This sounds honestly like I’ve made it up but I swear to and on anything that I know what I saw. And now I stay up till daytime to sleep...
