I attended a channelling course earlier this year with Margaret Birkin; she spent a whole morning on sexual energy. She states that it is the highest energy form that we as human beings have. While it is the reproductive force, it is also a force of love and tenderness, of coming together (no pun intended) of sharing, tranquility, passion - in short the most powerful force we use.
Unfortunately we British are a bit prudish -a hand down from Victorian misguided values no doubt - but other countries are so, so different. I went to Japan a few years ago and was taken to the not so silubrious parts of Tokyo and when a girl sits with you in a bar, she is offering to sleep with you. It's not a big deal and no preliminaries are required! This ends with marriage, but before then, I was toldit is up to the individual to experience sex. Anyway didn't mean to go [sm=offtopic.gif].

Were you given instructions or demonstration:D I'm confused at what is sexual energy, seems there are so many different ways of experiencing it .. both physically or spiritually .. I'm looking more on the spiritual side.

I think that probably the eastern cultures are where you ought to be looking. The ancient development of Tantra where you can stay in an elevated orgasmic state for hours on end is probably the ultimate sexual experience, and of coarse it is a highly spiritual practice.

Do an online search on "kundalini" is my advice. You'll see from some sources that over-strong sexual energy may be kundalini awakening but going along the wrong channels. A good search should clue you in. It's been known for thousands of years and is there in the Vedas, and so forth.

Looking back at the original question, I don't think the spiritual point is answered IMHO.
Maybe it's something to figure out for oneself? Spiritually love and relationship IMO has to be involved. Spiritually, the whole subject of sexuality along with control over the physical impulse is also an issue, though never easy. It doesn't mean suppression, but the holy people of East and West seem to have been savvy on the need to control, and not be controlled.

Well you know what they say all exercise is good exercise so multi-dimensional ways to keep us young and fit. 😉 Women particularly appear to be looking younger and I am often amazed when people tell me they are in the 50's and 60's.
I have also read a few times that sperm holds specific proteins that are neccesary for the woman. So I guess God wasn't planning on condoms when we were created or man made diseases come to that.
There is another book that also looks interesting called 'The Soul of Sex' by Thomas Moore, Cultivating Life as an Act of Love. Doesn't sound very spiritual to me..sounds rather typical.
You know..society where youth and beauty are valued above all else..and that idea that women in particuar are past it when they have a few wrinkles and are no longer young, beautiful etc.

I don't consider myself old..but I doubt you need to be young to be fulfilled...probably the opposite.

exrecise is good for you, sex is good for you too..whether you are old or young, women and men should be entitled to love, affection and sex from their partners if they love them at any age..even if they look old.

A bit of both...muslims believe that sex and intimacy between married couple is for procreation and fun and for health because we are encouraged to enjoy it and to use family planning whereneeded if we wish to limit how many kids we have..until the ladies are older and don't need to worry about that anymore.
in islam older ladies are valued as younger, beautiful aldies, people are attractive and sexy beyond their appearnece.

Well half way through the White Tigress book and it is certainly steamy, if you get the book get a fan as well!:DI don't remember the Kama Sutra having the same impact, this one is certainly close to the bone.
There is a few tit bits of interesting research in there as well on the power of sexual thoughts to rid the body of viruses.
The White Tigress is really no different to a Male Taoist Master or Martial Artist there is a tremendous amount of discipline involved and ultimately it is not really about sexuality as we know it but more about using sexuality as a discipline to use our own energy for good health and in so doing it brings youthfulness. Different courses for different horses.
I think that is what you meant Venetian 'discipline'.

As for"pure" sexual energy. We can direct energy in many ways. Sexualarousal can raise ones energy field. Men lose this energy when they ejaculate. After releasing this great amount of life force, the body puts alot of energy into "remaking" the sperm. If one can learn not to ejaculate, then he can continue raising the energy (just as afemale would).
Sex is an expression of the body. There are much higher expressions than just this. There are also expressions of the soul, like the "nadis". I have obtained cosmic concsious states by directing my energy on spirit for long periods of time. But, dont take my word for it, go and try it for yourself.
What is a true expression forspirit but to be?

Yes, it does seems that Taoists believed that we came into the world due to sex and we die because of it. Not a doctrine I embrace, because this then does not embrace the fact that we are already immortal and like the flower we reseed the self. The divine have taught me that recreation is the word to replace reincarnation so if we are constantly recreating, its makes common sense to me that we should be recreating the way we came in.....continual rebirth of healthy cells; its interesting thinking about people we know, those with a healthy attitude, mindset and sexual activity certainly do look the youngest. I did laugh the other day when a young 30 year old thought I was nearly 20 years younger:D the laughter that caused was certainly good medicine to keep these weary bones in check!

I received some insight on this last night and the word given was 'Radiance' and I guess radiance does make us look more youthful and happy. I knew a good sex life was good for us and healthy for mind, body and soul but I had no idea how very important it is the physiological make-up and regeneration of the human body, fascinating!

sexuality is raw power......in our society the majority do not know how to access this within themselves so seek to steal it from their partners....how many of us have come out of a relationship feeling as tho it was a loss or gain ?;)...
yes the semi orgasmic state is the key to health and youthfullness.....it is the holy grail;)......take care for if your heart is not pure it will take life not give it.
